Fashion Design ÉCONOMUSÉE® de la création de mode

Since 1994, Harricana par Mariouche has offered luxurious and trendy creations inspired by the Great North, Canadian iconography and Amerindian imagination. The company stands apart for products created under ethical production conditions in the spirit of ecology placed at the forefront of the creative approach adopted. Founder Mariouche Gagné and her team of artisans transform fur coats, marriage gowns, cashmere and other noble fabrics into fashion statements. The company’s unique expertise has breathed new life into more than 80,000 items of clothing never again to be worn had they not been reinvented. Garments feature the Écoluxe® trademark, symbol of the association of ethics, sustainable development and luxury.

At the centre of creation

In an old 19th century bank, visitors learn about the fascinating world of fashion creation. The tour explores initial inspiration to final outcome allowing visitors to discover the steps in the creative process of a fashion business. Fashion pictures, sketches, technical sheets and hallmark creations mark the path, not to mention direct exchanges with the creative artisans.

A city of contrasts

The fashion design ÉCONOMUSÉE® is located in Montréal, the largest city in Quebec, with close to two million inhabitants. Montréal combines romanticism, a hyper-techno outreach, intimacy and a cosmopolitan look. The city is very much about outdoor terraces, streets lined with stores, the charm of Mont Royal, the many festivals, taste blends, costumes, languages, cuisine and an amalgam of cultures showcasing the many facets of Montréal.
