Tingvollost ÉCONOMUSÉE®

Tingvollost ÉCONOMUSÉE®

Tingvollost dairy farm is run by the Waagen-family, and was established in 2003 at Saghaug Gård in Tingvoll in Nordmøre. The farm has a long history back to 1303. Tingvollost makes blue and white mold cheeses based on pasteurized cow's milk. Perhaps best known is the Kraftkar blue cheese that became «World Champion» and « Champion of Champions» in World Cheese Awards 2016.

From the barn, fresh milk comes straight into the two cheese vessels of 700 liters capacity four to five days a week. Being a cheese producer with a goal of making craft cheese of an international quality is a bit like being a top athlete. The devil is in the details and the Waagen-family constantly try to improve their tasty products.
